If we had to choose the most popular Japanese restaurant in Bahrain, we'd be very hard pressed indeed, but this small eatery in Adliya may just edge out the culinary competition. A large number of regulars return several nights a week to cash in on the new-wave Japanese contemporary cuisine. If you haven't been before, you wouldn't be far off if you envisioned a Nobu-esque atmosphere and food options, but with none of the stuffiness that can typically be found in similarly swanky establishments. As for the menu, it's impressive to say the very least; a number of mouth-watering fusion dishes satisfy authentic Japanese and international taste buds, and the food presentation is edible art. Our favourite spot is the low-seating tatami tables or the sushi bar for maximum cultural saturation.
This “trattoria moderna” offers some of the most authentic Italian cuisine in Bahrain, with its own personal reinterpretation of Italian culinary traditions. Based at the Ritz-Carlton and headed up by two-Michelin-starred chef Oliver Glowig, Primavera has a gastronomic line-up that is full of his signature style, local inspiration and variety. Seasonal ingredients grown right in Bahrain add a unique twist on the food here, making for a delicious melding of flavours. The menu is full of Italian classics, including our two favourites: parmigiana with eggplants, zucchini, and cauliflower and ravioli caprese with stuffed caciotta cheese! The dessert menu will keep you busy for a while too, featuring five kinds of chocolate with liquorice semifreddo and a Neapolitan tart with ricotta cream that are both divine.

Oliveto’s revamp brings in a fresh new menu and decor that’s sure to transport your 5 senses to Italy. Modern, sleek, and cool, the design aesthetic is reminiscent of a hip Milanese trattoria and the deck brimming with a cool Amalfi coast club vibe. The seafood is incredibly fresh, the pizzas delightfully delicious, and the desserts decadently divine. Oliveto is a fantastic ambassador of Italian cuisine in the Bahrain dining scene.
